Larger Than Life: The Canadian National Exhibition

I can feel it. The end of summer is near. And for me, there’s no better way to say goodbye to the long, warm days than to hit up the Canadian National Exhibition with my friends. For the past two weeks, I’ve fondly watched the big ferris wheel and glimmering lights from my balcony. Tempted to visit every night, I’ve wandered through the grounds six times this year- not too shabby!

My absolute favourite thing to do at The Ex is to watch people walk around with their larger than life winnings. You know what I’m talking about: once a year, everyone gets their game face on and attempts to win the largest stuffed toy they can carry. From Whack-a-Mole to Loony Balloony, everyone has their favourite game – the one they know/think they can master for the ultimate prize.
