Hey 2013, You Went By So Fast!

January 2, 2014

Is it just me, or does time fly by faster as you get older? I can’t believe we already rang in another new year! I’m not one for New Year’s resolutions, but I did promise myself one thing last year: that I’d do everything in my power to live my life. You see, 2012 was a rough year for me (what I like to call my quarter-life crisis), but I’ve since turned my life around and now spend my days doing the things I love with the people I love. And as I flip through the ridiculous amount of photos stored on my laptop from my experiences this year, I’m feeling a bit nostalgic so I thought I’d share my favourite memories with you guys:

1. The time I realized that there are many people out there who change their paths, redefine who they are and pursue their passions (read more here).

2. The time I went horseback riding in West Gwillimbury (read more here).

3. The time I helped out these guys…All jokes aside, SNAP! is a great photographic fundraiser for the AIDS committee of Toronto and I was so happy to be a part of the event.

4. The time I watched a record 13 films during TIFF (read more here).

5. The time I wore my bikini outside in the freezing cold (read more here).

6. The time I watched Toronto Fashion Week from the tech booth (read more here).

7. The time I scaled 27 waterfalls with my mom in the Dominican (read more here).

8. The time I went to my first Blue Jays game (read more here).

9. The time I finally went to Medieval Times with my friends (read more here).

14. The time I tried to take a photo of our reflection in Cloud Gate (aka the Chicago bean – read more here).

15. The time I rode on the back of my friend’s boat as we cruised around Six Mile Lake.

16. The time I learned about true craftsmanship at the Hermès exhibit (read more here).

17. The time I ran away with the dancing puppet at Digital Dreams.

18. The time I read through David Bowie’s handwritten lyrics at the AGO.

19. The time I dined outside with over 1600 people at Dîner en Blanc (read more here).

20. The time I captured the ephemeral cherry blossoms in High Park.

If you noticed that one specific category of memories is missing from this post, you know me all too well. I’ve pulled together a list of my favourite food experiences in a separate post. Happy New Year to you all. I hope you have a beautiful year filled with lots of new experiences. xoxo
