A new wave of late-night happy hour deals are popping up across Toronto, with bars and restaurants offering everything from classic cocktails to creative concoctions, along with snack menus at reduced prices made for lingering. Consider this your mini guide to where to go when the night is far from over.

1. The Well After Dark
Launched last month, The Well After Dark brings after-hours energy and tempting deals to the Entertainment District. Located at the corner of Front and Spadina, The Well is an architecturally striking indoor-outdoor destination that blends condos, retail, restaurants, and pop-ups, essentially a mini city within the city. Signature late-night deals are offered by Bridgette Bar, La Plume, Lulu Bar, National Toronto, Aera and The Dorset, with the latter two also hosting live DJ sets every Friday and Saturday.

2. Ficoa
The neo-Latin fine-dining restaurant in Little Italy welcomed a new chef earlier this year, ushering in a refreshed menu and cocktail program. Ficoa’s Pachanga Hour delivers one of Toronto’s most unique happy hour experiences: each drink comes with a curated selection of complimentary snacks tailored to the beverage. The more you drink, the more snacks arrive.
Happy Hour Times: Daily, 5pm to 9pm
Happy Hour Deals: $18 and up, cocktails paired with a rotating selection of snacks. It could start with cheese stuffed plantain and end with house-made chorizo tacos, entirely at the chef’s discretion
3. The Carbon Bar

Toronto’s iconic BBQ destination, The Carbon Bar, satisfies all your saucy, spicy, smoky cravings with comfort food served in a stylish setting. Beyond the barbecue, the downtown spot, located near the CF Eaton Centre, also delivers thoughtfully crafted cocktails to match the flavours coming out of the kitchen. Earlier this month, the restaurant launched new drink deals, making it an easy late-night stop.

4. Chez Nous
Located in Toronto’s Riverdale neighbourhood, Chez Nous Wine Bar is a cozy spot known for its 100% Ontario wine list. Glasses are served simply as red, white or rosé, so there’s no need to navigate grape varieties. The bar also features local craft beers, spirits and snacks, and guests are welcome to bring outside food in.

5. Bar Cart

Tucked behind Eloise on The Esplanade, Bar Cart is a sort-of-secret cocktail lounge bringing a speakeasy vibe to a street better known for its beers. Inside, deep red tones set the mood, while the menu features snacks like oysters, cheesy bread and crispy cauliflower. Alongside the bites, cocktails take classic recipes and give them an unexpected depth.

6. Central
Originally from Calgary, Central is a popular restaurant chain that has arrived on Toronto’s Ossington strip with its first location in the city. Founded by the team behind CRAFT Beer Market, a Canadian favourite for after-work drinks, the restaurant serves comfort food and both inside and on their spacious patio open year-round.

7. The Frederick
From the team behind The Chase on the second floor, The Frederick is its relaxed sister spot on the ground level of the historic Dineen Building in the Financial District. Rooted in the same commitment to quality and craftsmanship, The Frederick puts a refined spin on bar-and-grill classics.

8. Bar Reyna
This Mediterranean restaurant recently took six months off for a major redesign, refreshing its interior, patio and menu at their Yorkville location. While signature favourites like the Bar Reyna salad, falafel bites and lamb baklava, the updated menu now features modern dishes and drinks crafted under the guidance of a new chef, who previously worked at both 416 Snack Bar and Alo.

9. Primadonna

Primadonna is a new Italian-American spot on King West, made for leisurely dinners and shared plates. The space has an old-school vibe, with rich red tones, velvet banquettes, checkered tablecloths, vintage artwork and exposed wood beams that remind you of a classic Italian Hollywood dining room.

10. Everyside
Everyside Social Eatery and Taphouse, is a spacious new brewery with over 300 seats, including a huge 2,000-square-foot wraparound patio located in the Financial District. Created by the same team behind Melrose Tavern, Saint John’s Tavern and Piccolo Café, it offers a menu of burgers, salad bowls and sourdough pizzas alongside 44 taps.
