Mornings are… interesting. And by that I mean: they’re usually a chaotic mess as I run around getting ready in our condo. You see, I’ve never really been a morning person (the abrupt switch from blissful dreamer to multi-tasking machine is a bit much for me), but #momlife has kicked my morning circus (aka routine) into a whole new realm. It usually involves me and hubby darting from room to room looking for Little L’s stuff, feeding him, supervising him, getting all of us dressed, making lunch etc. etc. Oh ya, and breakfast. Although we never skip it, it’s often an afterthought once everything else has been organized. Which basically means we are huge “grab-and-go” breakfast fans. Anything that makes our lives easier! So when I was asked to try the NEW, hassle-free Quaker Overnight Oats I jumped on board…

Yessssss. The simple life. I just added our fave milk (2%) to the individual cups, let them steep overnight and voila: a tasty, convenient and nourishing breaky. I didn’t realize how much of a difference it would make to have breakfast ready in the fridge the moment I wake up. One less task in the morning and more importantly: no hanger!! I get incredibly hangry in the mornings so this product is essentially going to save my loved ones from my wrath LOL. Fortunately for my family, I was asked to participate in the Hassle-Free Morning Challenge for an entire week…

Hassle-Free Quaker Overnight Oats

As I normally do with food, I did a bit of experimenting… To play around with the consistency, I tried less/more milk and even mixed in a few tablespoons of yogurt which makes it creamier. I also had some blueberries and bananas in the fridge so I added some to my cup in the morning to make for a more colourful and even more nutritious breakfast.

Speaking of nutrition, I love that Quaker Overnight Oats are made with 100% whole grain oats, quinoa, and flaxseed with no added colours or artificial flavours. Oh and they’re blended with real fruits & nuts. Woot woot! If I had to pick between the two flavours I’d go for the Walnut, Raisin & Honey, but the Toasted Coconut & Almond is fab too…

After trying the Hassle-Free Morning Challenge for a week, I’m kind of obsessed with this new product! I honestly have never tried any other nutritious breakfast solution that is THIS easy to prep. The cups are such a great portable, grab-and-go solution for those who are on the run like us. It’s really changed mornings in our house so I hope you give it a try too!!
