Royal Service At Paradisus Cancun | Luxury All-Inclusive Adults-Only Resort

November 17, 2018

The word luxury gets thrown around a lot in the hospitality industry, but only a select group of brands truly embody the definition in my opinion. It’s easy to look straight to quantity when assessing how luxurious a resort is (the number of pools, restaurants & amenities offered), but I’m more focused on quality. Specifically, the quality of service. Yes, the rooms and facilities are important, but it’s often the level of service that sets the elite apart in my books. So you can imagine how eager I was to check out Royal Service At Paradisus Cancun and see if the sprawling resort lives up to its name…

I arrived in Cancun with high expectations and can happily report that they were far exceeded at this all-inclusive resort. Not only by its pristine, white-sand beach, mouthwatering cuisine and airy rooms, but most notably by the staff. Their attention to detail, warm demeanour and ability to make luxury feel approachable and unpretentious is refreshing. In a realm where service often slips behind fancy facades, Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun has brought it back to the forefront. You will be taken care of here — impeccably well. So, if you’re wondering if it’s worth the extra dollars to book a room on the more private and exclusive side of the property, my answer is YES. Still need convincing? Here are a few more reasons to splurge on Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun…

6 Reasons To Splurge On Royal Service At Paradisus Cancun

1. Private, Adults-Only Pool

No screaming kids, no guests who’ve had a few too many at the swim-up bar. The adults-only pool on the Royal Service side of Paradisus Cancun is a tranquil and relaxing escape from it all. Lined with swaying palms, comfy pool chairs and Bali beds, you’ll find it difficult to peel yourself away from this private oasis…

2. Exclusive Beach

You’ll have access to a private area on the beach when you book Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun (just look for the gold flag). I made it a point to watch the sun rise from this exclusive section each day and shared it with you guys via live IG stories. Most of you were in awe and thrilled to see a stretch of sand in Mexico without an abundance of seaweed. Although some does make its way to the resort, the staff are meticulous and work incredibly hard to clear it each morning so you’d never know! The colour of the water is truly unreal and the powdery white sand is the kind made for long walks on the beach…

3. Access To Yhi Spa

While spas are often afterthoughts at all-inclusive resorts, Yhi Spa is certainly an exception. A sanctuary away from the hustle and bustle of the resort, the calming scents, soft music and zen-like atmosphere are sure to rejuvenate. When you book Royal Service you get free access to the water ritual, sauna, gym, therapeutic showers etc. so you’ll want to spend at least half a day melting away at the spa…

4. Butler Service

Ok, here’s a big one: you get a private butler when you book Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun!! Yup, basically everything is just a phone call away. Realize that you forgot your book when you arrive at the beach? No problem, they’ll grab it for you so you can relax by the sea. Want to make sure you have a reservation at one of the 10 restaurants onsite? Your butler can make all of the arrangements — in fact, they can help you plan out your entire stay!

5. Royal Service Lounge

I firmly believe that the first hour at a resort really sets the tone for the entire vacation. So the fact that there’s a private (and very civilized) check-in for Royal Service guests is a big win in my books. I remember stepping foot inside the Royal Service Lounge and thinking it felt so boutique and intimate — the soft lighting, the lush plants, the sound of the water features below the floor all came together beautifully. Beyond the private check-in and check-out, the lounge is a relaxing spot for breakfast, afternoon tea, cocktails (made with top shelf liquor) and chef’s hors d’oeuvres throughout the day.

6. Exclusive, Adults-Only Dining

Seaside dining at La Palapa was one of my favourite perks of Royal Service. The food quality is amazing —I literally loved every bite (from my morning chilaquiles to evening aguachiles) — as is the service and the view. Did I mention it’s adults-only? No screaming kids here either. Many tranquil meals to be enjoyed…

Etc. Etc. Etc.

The list of preferential benefits at Royal Service is endless — from fruit baskets upon arrival and upgraded room amenities (the toiletries smell sooo good) to plush bathrobes and pool concierge. While the details I’ve highlighted are certainly worth the upgrade alone, it’s the personalized service that sets this property apart. Royal treatment indeed…

Make Your Stay Extra Luxe

Want to go all out during your time at Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun? I recommend splurging on these experiences at an extra cost:

1. Dine At Tempo – When was the last time you saw a five diamond restaurant at an all-inclusive resort? Yah, that’s what I thought! A meal at Tempo is guaranteed to be a memorable one with the exceptional service, beautifully-composed and plated dishes and intimate ambiance. Expect to be wowed at this restaurant by Martin Berasategui…

2. Book A Massage At Yhi Spa – While you do get free access to the facilities at the spa as a Royal Service guest, I highly recommend indulging in a body treatment. I opted for a massage and my therapist, Gemma, was pure magic. Looking for a massage with a view? They’ve got that too…

3. Reserve A Cabana At Coco’s Beach Club – Treat yo’ self. Whether you’re staying at Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun with a loved one (hello honeymooners) or with a group of friends, I recommend booking a cabana at Coco’s Beach Club to elevate your royal experience. The beds all come with a bottle of Moët and a seafood platter featuring the most delish lobster, shrimp and aguachiles. Trust me, you won’t regret it…

A huge thanks to Royal Service at Paradisus Cancun for hosting me on this press trip. As always, reviews and opinions are my very own.

Yes, I believe so. Best to check directly with the hotel when booking though, as some things may be different from when I visited. You’ll love the property!

Oooh there is different pricing depending on what you get I believe. We had the champagne, lobster and music option. I’ve asked them to let me know re: pricing! Will get back to you.
