The lazy, hazy days of summer have arrived in all of their breezy and cocktail-filled glory. And, for a city with such frigid winters, Toronto shines when it comes to its outdoor pool offerings. Helping your relaxation cause, here are eight Toronto pools to sip cocktails and lounge at this summer.

Eight Toronto Pools To Lounge By This Summer

1. Hotel X Toronto

There’s nothing in Toronto quite like the sleek and pristine indoor/outdoor pool at Hotel X. Most notably, this hotel pool overlooks the endless Lake Ontario, which sparkles in all if its royal blue brilliance. From certain vantage points, you’d mistaken this spot’s dreamy views for the Caribbean (well, almost).  Guests can enjoy a menu of Japanese-influenced dishes from the newly opened rooftop restaurant Valerie, which includes things like Hamachi Crudo, Wagyu Katsu, Short Rib, and a Maitake Mushroom. While this pool is open to hotel guests only, it’s worth the splurge for a staycation just to access this five-star resort experience. 2. 1 Hotel Toronto

Last summer, 1 Hotel Toronto took over the former Thompson Toronto to breathe new ultra-sustainable and plant-filled life into the formerly sleek and showy spot. The revamp sees the entertainment district hotel completely reimagined. What hasn’t changed is the hotel’s crown jewel; the view-filled rooftop pool. Here, hotel guests and residents can enjoy a menu of light bites and craft cocktails made from fresh juice from the spot’s popular rooftop restaurant, Harriet’s Toronto. Find more information here.

3. Cabana Pool Bar

For a photo op-filled pool day that doesn’t involve splurging on a hotel staycation, channel your Vegas vibes and head to Cabana Pool Bar. Sitting on a pier on Lake Ontario, the lively pool is backed by stunning views of the Toronto skyline. Offering a younger crowd and more of a party atmosphere than most outdoor Toronto pools, DJs are a staple at this spot and high-energy weekly events are a given. Guests are welcome to book a private cabana and enjoy eats and drinks from culinary experts INK Entertainment. Find more information here.

4. Bisha Hotel Toronto

Keeping with the view (and inevitable photo ops) theme, the shiny and sophisticated Bisha Hotel Toronto features a stunning infinity pool on the 44th floor. While this urban oasis is reserved strictly for hotel guests from 9am-5pm, diners at the adjacent rooftop restaurant Kōst can enjoy its views and photo backdrops pre or post dinner from the pool’s 9,375-square-foot wraparound terrace. Naturally, the swanky spot plays host to no shortage of see-and-be-seen events. Find more information here.

5. Radisson Blu Toronto

On Toronto’s waterfront, the Radisson Blu Toronto offers a less flashy – but equally as scenic – outdoor hotel pool. The pristine fifth floor pool overlooks Lake Ontario and offers soul-soothing views and plenty of loungers and cabanas to soak up the sun. The Lakeview Pool Lounge serves a variety of cocktails, lunch options, and poolside snacks. Thanks to its popular day pass option, this urban escape has become a quick to-go for in-the-know locals. 6. Lavelle

Another outdoor Toronto pool option in the see-and-be-seen department is King West’s Lavelle. At this rooftop pool – which is backed by views of the CN Tower and some of the city’s most iconic skyscrapers – guests can swim in one of three pristine pools with a day pass that includes towel service. Those who choose to go all out at this sun-soaked adult playground can reserve a private cabana and enjoy the dog days of summer with a creative cocktail in hand. Find more information here.

7. Sheraton Centre Toronto

A long-time staple in the warmer months, the pool at the Sheraton Centre Toronto kicked off the summer season with a whole new look. Part of the hotel’s recent transformation included a re-imagining of the spot’s breezy pool deck. Here, guests can escape from the hustle and bustle of Queen Street below in the hotel’s greenery-surrounded pool. Find more information here.

8. The Hyatt Regency Toronto

King Street’s Hyatt Regency offers a more modest and discreet spot for making poolside memories. Available to hotel guests only, the hotel’s simple and seasonal 17th floor outdoor pool features a large sundeck with cushioned loungers and food and drink service. While not as scenic as some of its counterparts, the pool does feature views of the CN Tower and the surrounding downtown buildings. Find more information here.
