Swarovski: In Celebration of Film In Toronto

To celebrate the glitz and glamour on Toronto’s red carpets during TIFF, Swarovski hosted a stunning fashion suite at the Trump International Hotel last week. I was one of the lucky few to get a sneak preview of five expertly-crafted collections: from runway exclusives to their new Fall/Winter collection. I brought along my photog so you guys could get a sneak peek too!

With thousands of crystals and hundreds of hours of work, the Secret Treasures Catwalk Collection stole the spotlight in my opinion. Volcano Feelings (the plumage-inspired cascading necklace on the far right) was my favourite piece. Over a hundred hours and 10 000 crystals went into creating this beauty!

Oh, and I loved the Pagoda shape crystal epaulettes (they were attached by long chains to crystal cuffs). Talk about a statement piece…

The modern heirloom designs by Shourouk (a Parisian jewelry designer) were also captivating. The pieces were luxurious, intricate and wearable. Her bib necklace was to die for

I also had a chance to check out the VIP Nirvana Collection box that’s gifted to celebs during TIFF. I loved the sunglasses and this limited edition Nirvana Star Bag:

As I wandered through the fashion suite, a book filled with thank-you cards caught my eye. I’m a curious gal so – with their permission – I flipped through the countless pages of gratitude from some of Hollywood’s biggest names. You know a brand is doing something right when they receive so many handwritten notes from their supporters!

I had a chance to chat with François (the recipient of all the notes in the book) at the event. He was an absolute gem!

Overall, the preview was a huge success. Not only did I get to admire beautiful jewelry, but I heard some amazing stories and got some great insight about Swarovski. I really appreciate that they’re still a family-owned company (5th generation)!

I hope you get a chance to check out their Fall/Winter Secret Treasures Collection. I know I’ll be picking up some sparkle for the upcoming holiday season!
